A Message From James Van Praagh Regarding the halting of production for "Beyond"
Originally posted January 10, 2003

It is with mixed feelings that I inform you that my current show in syndication, "Beyond With James Van Praagh," taped its last show the week of January 13, 2003. The show's production company, Tribune Entertainment, did not pick it up for next season. It is unfortunate in some ways and a blessing in others.

audience2.jpg Throughout my spiritual journey, I have never wanted to be a part of something which compromised my integrity. I have worked very hard in the past two years to put a show on the air with which I felt completely comfortable. The look of the show is one of the best on daytime television today and presents the reality of "life after death" in a comfortable, compelling and healing manner. I am very proud of that. I worked with some incredible, heartfelt producers, who really CARED about the guests and their situations and to this day are still in touch with them.

I do believe that the Universe has many other ideas and plans for me to reach out to people. In the future, I will continue to be involved with other shows, movies and specials, where "the work" can be enlightening, inspiring and entertaining at the same time. I think we should all be grateful to Tribune Entertainment for, at least, taking a chance to produce this type of programming when others didn't even consider it.

I would ask you to please help the spirit world, by sending out positive energy, that this work will indeed be found by all and it will change not only their view of life after death, but enhance their lives on this earth.

Blessing of light to each and every one of you.
