No, I do not share private readings by email, postal mail, through my message board, or by telephone. Because I do understand the need for some to experience personal counseling, I have posted a list of reputable Practitioners from around the world on the
Resources page of this web site. Many of these practitioners do schedule phone readings.

How can I contact James?
Due to the overwhelming amount of postal mail received by James Van Praagh's office, as of August 2007 all correspondence for James will only be accepted or answered via email. Before sending an email, please review the information on this FAQ page to see if your inquiry is addressed. This will help to keep down the volume of emails received and allow us to reply in a timely manner. How can I find out about James' television or radio appearances?
All my events are listed on my web site
Calendar page. Some television shows which I appear on are pre-taped and their airdate is not known right away. Those television shows that allow live studio audiences are listed if information is available. Not all television shows have audience ticket availability.
If a radio show features a call-in segment, those telephone numbers will be posted. All radio shows available by streaming audio will also be posted. As details regarding events are confirmed, they will be added or updated on the Calendar. Please be sure to bookmark the

Since James is not available to do readings, can he make referrals?
To assist those who wish personal spiritual counseling, in the
Practitioners and
Links areas on my Resources page I have listed referrals of reputable healers, mediums, psychics and spiritual centers. There are many other gifted practitioners throughout the country. I am not, however, familiar with the work of practitioners from every state or country.
If you are in need of spiritual counseling I recommend checking your local telephone directory or use an internet search engine under religion or spiritualism to locate a spiritual center, new age bookstore or spiritualist church in your area.
Meanwhile, there are a number of books that I recommend that are excellent sources of spiritual understanding and comfort. These books are referenced on my Reading List page.
