“The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for.” ―Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Recently, I’ve felt the presence of my guides signaling me that it’s time to take the next step on my spiritual journey. For me, that means creating a new course or coming up with online events and workshops that will help others discover their soul-destiny, unwrap their spiritual gifts, and form a deeper connection to Spirit.
My intuition tells me that I’m not being called upon to change course, just to continue on my path. For over three decades I’ve been blessed to be able to do this work – although it seems odd to even call it work, because being a medium is so much a part of who I am that I can’t imagine doing anything else. I have to say, when I discovered my calling many years ago, the road wasn’t easy. Mediumship wasn’t the household word it is today and for every person who welcomed the message I had to share, there was another who resisted the idea that I could communicate with those who had passed over.
But even on the most difficult days, I knew connecting the living to their loved ones in heaven and providing evidence of life after death was my divine purpose. It helped that I wasn’t alone. Supporters from both sides of the veil, television producers and angels, publishers and spirit guides, and of course, countless thousands of people who were healed by my message helped keep me going.
But it was even more than that. It wasn’t a coincidence that every time I encountered a roadblock, a solution presented itself. Synchronicities, large and small, popped up at every turn, and as a psychic medium, I sensed that these were not coincidences, but the universe urging me forward.
Years later, when I launched the JVP School of Mystical Arts, I had the same experience. It was as if the world had been waiting for a spiritual community like the one I had created. Ideas for new courses flowed, just as the words had flowed decades earlier when I wrote my first bestseller, Talking to Heaven.
I’m sharing these thoughts with you for a reason. Like me, you have a purpose, and when you find it, your intuition will let you know. The universe will be like the wind on your back, gently pushing you forward.
Here are just a few ways to tell that you’ve found your path:
- You may feel nervous, afraid, or uncomfortable. Embrace those feelings! It’s normal to experience these emotions when you step out of your comfort zone to follow your dreams. But at the same time, you will also feel excited, invigorated, and inspired – ready to discover what lies ahead.
- Everyone won’t be excited for you. Some people in your life might be concerned about your direction and point out risks and pitfalls of your plan. That doesn’t mean you should abandon your plan. In choosing your own direction, you’re probably rejecting a few of the goals others have set for you. Be kind in the face of criticism, and continue moving forward without looking for approval from the usual sources. Which leads me to my next point…
- You’ll find support from unexpected places. New friends, teachers and mentors will cross your path. Some will provide opportunities and ideas, and others might join you on your journey. Keep your eyes open for kindred spirits (living and dead) who appear in your life – they’re there for a reason.
- You’ll feel the flow. I find that when I am engaging in work that is in sync with my soul-purpose, synchronicities and coincidences abound. I’ll suddenly stumble across a person or an article that helps solve a problem I’ve been struggling with for days, or an opportunity will present itself at the perfect time. On the flip side, if you’re on the wrong path, the flow disappears. Health issues, lack of motivation, and random accidents can make it feel as if the universe is conspiring against you. The universe is on your side! Let your intuition guide you, and take the time to understand what the universe and your guides are telling you.
Your soul is limitless, but your time here on earth isn’t. You have things to accomplish, dreams to explore, and lessons to learn. I know you can do great things, and if you’re feeling blocked or discouraged, I can help. After all, I would not be where I am today if I hadn’t trusted the signs and had the courage to take action on my hopes and dreams, and you can too.
My Spiritual Life Coach Certification Course isn’t just about finding a new career, it is about helping you become the person you were put on this earth to be.
