Searching for the perfect gift for someone special? One of my favorite items to give and receive is a unique crystal. There’s so much to love about crystals, and so many stunning and spiritually meaningful varieties to choose from! Crystals can help balance your chakras, provide protection and healing and improve the feeling of the space they occupy, infusing your home or workspace with positive vibes.

Choosing the perfect crystal for a friend or loved one.

When picking out a crystal, you can let the recipients’ sun sign guide you, or choose one that will provide them what they need their life – protection, prosperity, love or inspiration. Or just go with your gut! As you peruse the possibilities, think of the person who will receive your gift, and choose a stone that “feels like them.”

Here are some of my favorite crystals and what they signify: 

Selenite:

Selenite is named after the Greek goddess Selene, the goddess of the moon. Subtly luminous, with a pure, angelic energy, it seems lit from within.

This beautiful crystal is perfect for someone who is scattered and has a lot going on in their life – it will help them to quiet their mind and achieve mental clarity.

Having selenite in your possession will also help cleanse your mind and space of negative energy.

Citrine:

Beautiful amber colored citrine makes the perfect gift for the Gemini, Aries, Libra or Leo on your life. When I’m around citrine I always get a sense of warm, optimistic energy. Citrine attracts abundance, fullness of life, fresh beginnings and new pursuits and is also useful for the balancing of the yin-yang energy.

Rose Quartz:

One of my personal top picks, Rose Quartz, has a gorgeous delicate pink hue. I surrounded myself with this crystal when I wrote The Power of Love, since it radiates unconditional love. Rose Quartz excels at fortifying relationships, dispelling negativity and anxiety, and creating a calm atmosphere, it makes a thoughtful gift for a partner or friend who would benefit from attracting a little more love in their life. It’s also a great pick for Libra and Taurus

 

Amethyst:

Popular among Pisces, Virgo (like me), Aquarius and Capricorn, beautiful Amethyst is actually a type of quartz, clear or lavender with deep purple tips. Amethyst helps you to connect to your own spirituality, cuts through illusion, and enhances psychic ability – is it any surprise it’s one of my very favorites!

Tiger Eye

For the success driven Capricorn in your life – earthy amber colored Tiger Eye is a balancing, grounding stone that  will help them to maintain and grow their wealth, while also assisting with mindfulness and understanding. Tiger eye is a wonderful talisman to keep in your pocket to calm and ground you during stressful moments.

The nice thing about giving crystals is that the recipient doesn’t even have to understand or believe in how they work – simply select one with care and deliver it with love, and they will benefit just by being around it.
